Adult Gerontology Acute Care Master's Degree
Graduates are prepared as advance practice nurses to assess, diagnose, monitor, treat, and coordinate care of acutely and critically ill individuals from adolescence to senescence. The curriculum emphasizes coaching, consultation and evidence-based practice.
Graduates of this concentration are prepared for eligibility for the AGNP Acute Care certification examination through an approved national organization accepted by the Board of Registration in Nursing. Graduates can also apply to practice in their expanded role in Connecticut or other states based on regulatory guidelines.
